Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
The Town of Poughkeepsie police report two arrests in connection to a shooting incident. On Saturday night, officers responded to Cherry Hill Condominiums for a person who had been shot in the head. Upon arrival, the victim received immediate medical aid. The investigation revealed an unlicensed handgun, and all individuals involved were acquaintances staying inside the residence. Angelica and Allen Wood were both arrested and face multiple charges, including assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Emergency crews were alerted to a three-car crash in Somers on Friday night in the area of Tomahawk Street and Lakeview Drive. One person was taken to the hospital. Photos from the scene posted on the Somers Fire Department Facebook page show deployed airbags in two of the vehicles involved.
Multiple fire crews responded to a tractor-trailer fire on I-84 West in Orange County on Saturday morning. Upon arrival, crews immediately worked to extinguish the fire, focusing on the tires, brakes, and contents of the container. Fire officials report there were no injuries.
