A woman died Saturday by the Hudson River near Half Moon Bay, officials say. The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department says they responded to a woman in her late 20s who suffered from cardiac arrest. They quickly took her to a hospital. Ossining emergency medical personnel attempted lifesaving efforts, but were unsuccessful.
Police say one person was killed and four were injured in a West
Nyack car crash Sunday. They say a 2015 Honda Accord was driving north along
I-87 when it crashed into a Subaru Outback around 7:45 a.m. Sunday. The Honda
then plummeted down a 45 foot embankment before coming to rest behind the old
Journal News building on Route 303. Authorities say passenger Rashid Hopson, 19, of Spring
Valley, was thrown from the vehicle before being found underneath it by
rescuers. The driver and two passengers suffered minor injuries and a third
passenger was seriously injured.
Police say a victim was shot several times in the stomach and leg Saturday afternoon near Fountain Place in Poughkeepsie. Multiple shell casings and a bullet were found in the area. The victim was taken to Vassar Brothers Hospital, but his condition is currently unknown. Authorities say the suspect fled from the scene in a vehicle.
