Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A car slammed into the window of a Drug Mart Pharmacy near Monsey on Tuesday. Ramapo police saying it happened at the shopping center on Airmont Road and Route 59. News 12 is told no one was hurt. There is no word yet on a cause.
There is new information on a fatal crash that killed two people, including a Putnam County Sheriff's Department officer. Yorktown police say Denise Ryan, 56, of Mahopac, was driving south on Route 6-N and Officer Michael Moore, 50 of Mahopac, was driving north when the crash occurred on Sunday evening. The officer was not on duty at the time. The crash remains under investigation.
A woman is now facing charges after crashing into a tree. Saugerties police say Carleen VandenDooren was drunk when she drove off the roadway and into a tree on Band Camp Road. She was charged with a DWI and released. She is due back in court next month.
