A head-on crash on a stretch of road in Yorktown sent two people to the hospital Friday.
According to police, a car heading north on Hanover Street slammed into another vehicle heading south. The road was wet following overnight snow, but police do not believe the accident was weather-related. Residents say there are many accidents on the stretch of road because people drive too fast and cannot negotiate the turn.
Both drivers were taken to Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
