The Hartsdale Train Station has introduced new elevators, a long-awaited addition following multiple requests from commuters to Metro-North.
The elevators serve as a significant help for individuals requiring assistance to access the train platform.
"We've been waiting for a couple of years now for it to open up. We have a lot of people that still need access to disability ramps or just can't take the stairs. So this is going to be a nice amenity for that," says Shike Goedar, of Hartsdale.
In addition to the elevators, Metro-North has implemented various improvements around the bridge area over the tracks, including the installation of heat systems.
