Habitat for Humanity breaks ground for new home in Poughkeepsie

Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County broke ground for a brand new home on Marshall Street in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday.
State and local elected officials were in attendance to welcome the future owner of the house - Bola, a mother of two girls.
Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Maureen Brennan Lashlee thanked the sponsors who helped make this project and future ones happen for people like Bola.
The foundation for the Marshall Street home is expected to be poured Friday, with the home itself projected to be finished for Bola and her family by the end of the year.
