News 12 is learning new details about what Suffolk prosecutors say happened moments before Christopher Millwater was killed in Stony Brook.
Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney announced Tuesday that 32-year-old Victor Panebianco and 33-year-old Kacy Corso, both of King, North Carolina, were indicted for murder for the
fatal stabbing of 52-year-old Millwater, of Selden, at the Stony Brook Yacht Club last month.
Prosecutors say they went through phone records and video evidence and that evidence shows a "deliberate and coordinated act of violence."
Suffolk investigators say Millwater tried to get away from Corso, his ex-girlfriend, after she drove her car into his.
Records show he got out of his car and ran, but prosecutors say Panebianco allegedly chased after Millwater, swinging an object.
According to the DA, Millwater asked Panebianco, "You're stabbing me" and screamed for help and the police.
Investigators say Panebianco threatened to kill Millwater and kicked him in the head as he lay on the ground.
Investigators say they learned from phone records that Corso and Panebianco allegedly got to Long Island from another state less than an hour and a half before allegedly killing Millwater and then left New York.
Millwater's niece and nephew say they want the two murder suspects to get the maximum sentence.
"They need to pay for what they did, you know they took his life, and I think that's sickening honestly, especially with all the gruesome details and the things that have came out, the fact that you could do that is disgusting." said Serenity Verderosa, Millwater's niece.
"It's absolutely heartbreaking that even after the pleas for help that someone could continue to carry out such a heinous act and with such intent, blocking the car in, hitting the car," said Chase Millwater.
The suspects are being held without bail.
