A Mount Vernon community took a stand Saturday after vandals trashed a newly renovated playground.
Led by the Rev. Ronell Fuller, members of Mount Vernon's Faith Christian Assembly Church rallied and tried to send a positive message in the wake of the vandalism.
Last month, tiles on the Fourth Street playground's basketball court were torn up just weeks after undergoing a $60,000 renovation by the city.
Within days, the city came out and fully repaired the court. However, the church group wants to make sure that the damage doesn't go unforgotten.
Police are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the vandals.
