A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday for hundreds of new rental units coming to the Yonkers waterfront.
A group of Chinese bankers, who spent hundreds of millions of dollars on the Hudson Park development project, were at the event to see their investment in action.
The 16-acre project will include three buildings along the waterfront once the Hudson Park River Club is completed.
The kickoff of construction for the third and final phase of the project includes the Hudson Park River Club rental building.
Hudson Park River Club will feature a two-story health club and 213 rental units, with rents that range from $1,500 to $3,000.
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano says the city is going through a renaissance, and that this project is a huge part of that.
