Teachers in the Greenburgh School District have been without working contracts since June. With the beginning of the new school year upon them, they demonstrated together that they are not going stop until they are signing the dotted line.
Teachers at Woodlands High School in Hartsdale have been meeting outside the school every morning, since the first day of school holding signs saying ?respect.? They say respect is what they are deserve, and are not getting, from the Board of Education. Salary is what is said to be the withholding the contract agreement, although the teachers? union would not confirm specific expectations.
Teachers hope that they will be able to sit down with the Board of Education and continue negotiations soon.
