Tesla will soon have
a new home at Greenburgh’s Hillside Plaza.
The area was once home to a popular deli, a mattress store and a Joyce Leslie clothing
store. But now, it’s being transformed into a state-of-the-art Tesla
dealership.
Town Supervisor Paul Feiner approves of the idea, saying in part, "I think it's very
prestigious to have a company like Tesla decide to
choose Greenburgh."
News 12 is told billionaire
Elon Musk’s luxury electric-carmaker
will be the sole business occupying the nearly 23,000-square-foot
property.
"Sends a
message to other businesses that this is an area that is worth locating,” says
Feiner. “It’s nice to see new businesses coming instead of businesses only just
shutting down."
The dealership
is expected to officially make its debut next summer.
