A Greenburgh police officer at the center of the dominatrix sex scandal admitted during a disciplinary hearing that he didn?t follow some proper procedures.
Officer Erik Ward is accused of meeting Gina Pane a day after her arrest in January and engaging in a kinky sex act. Pane claims Ward said a drug charge against her would be dropped in exchange for the sex act. Ward testified that he only met Pane to recruit her as a police informant. He admitted he did not have authorization from the department for the meeting. Ward said while they did discuss the sexual habits of her clients, they themselves did not have sex.
Ward?s supporters say they are glad he is finally able to speak out about the charges against him. Ward has been suspended from the force since the allegations. He also continues to defend himself in criminal court on the charge of official misconduct.
