Glide at Brooklyn Bridge Park is now showcasing the artwork of local students through a community partnership.
BSE Global, the parent company of the Brooklyn Nets, spearheaded the project through collaboration with the Department of Education.
"Seeing all these kids smiling and using the rink on this bright sunny day is exactly what we had in mind when we first built it," said Aaron Jakubovitz, the vice president of marketing for BSE Global.
Joy Pace, the Brooklyn North Borough art director with the DOE, selected the Urban Assembly School of Music and Arts and the Brooklyn Community Arts & Media High School to participate.
The students had a chance to take advantage of a private skate session while seeing their artwork on display for the first time. To check it out, head to Glide under the Brooklyn Bridge.
