Residents in Orange County came together to aid a wounded warrior.
A fundraiser was held for Joshua Evans at the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary post in Monroe.
The now-retired soldier was thrown 40-feet during an explosion in 2006, while serving in Iraq.
He suffered a traumatic brain injury, and broken back and as a result has rods and screws in his back.
Evans, who lives in Monroe with his wife and young daughter, says he's thankful for the show of support.
