A former podiatrist from Ramapo has been charged with trying to get his wife murdered for the second time.
In 2017, Ira Bernstein, of Montebello, and his then-girlfriend pleaded guilty to offering a car salesman $100,000 to kill Bernstein's wife, Susan.
He served four years in prison.
On Friday, the Rockland County district attorney said between July and September of last year, the 49-year-old Bernstein tried to have his wife killed again.
This time, Bernstein's sister has been indicted.
Jaclyn Goldberg, 40, of Bedford, allegedly conspired with her brother in destroying evidence of the solicitation.
Ira Bernstein was indicted by a county grand jury for criminal solicitation and conspiracy, while his sister was indicted on tampering with physical evidence and conspiracy.
