Michael Flower, the former head of the American Legion in Monroe, was charged with grand larceny Wednesday morning.
News 12 is told Flower allegedly stole over $3,000 between 2015 and 2018.
The Orange County District Attorney’s Office says the investigation began after receiving tips from members of the legion.
Flower declined to comment on the allegations, and was released on an appearance ticket.
If found guilty, he could face restitution and up to seven years in prison.
