Former Bronxville attorney pleads guilty in bankruptcy case after owing $3M in unpaid taxes

John Roesser, a 52-year-old former attorney from Bronxville, has pleaded guilty to making false statements in U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Roesser, a partner at three New York law firms over the years, faces up to five years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of false oaths and claims in bankruptcy court.
Prosecutors say Roesser attempted to retain his assets despite owing more than $3 million in unpaid income taxes.
