First lady Michelle Obama toured a Bronx medical center Wednesday to raise awareness of veterans' hard work and to thank those who have served the United States.
Mrs. Obama was accompanied by Dr. Jill Biden, the vice president's wife, on her trip to the spinal cord injury unit of the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. Mrs. Obama and Dr. Biden attended Game 1 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium, which has been dedicated to veterans.
