Firefighters from Westchester were helping to battle a brush fire across the Hudson River in Palisades Park, New Jersey.
Investigators say the fire started just after 8 p.m. north of the Alpine Boat Basin. It was spotted by people on the other side of the Hudson.
Tarrytown and Irvington firefighters worked with the Alpine fire department in New Jersey to contain the blaze, but it reignited Sunday morning.
Firefighters say the steep and difficult terrain has made it tough to fight the flames because fire trucks and equipment cannot reach the fire area easily.
An Irvington firefighter suffered an ankle injury while on the scene.
Officials say it marks the fifth brush fire to break out along the river in the past two weeks.
