A popular discount store in Yonkers was ravaged by fire overnight Friday.

Firefighters arrived at the Peso Value Plus on South Broadway around 2:15 a.m. to find the store fully engulfed in flames.

A vacant church above the store did have some smoke damage but crews were able to keep the flames from spreading to nearby stores on South Broadway.

Officials say seven firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A section of the street was closed off for most of the morning as investigators, along with an arson dog, combed through the scene. Police have not confirmed whether the fire is being considered suspicious.

The church plans to hold services inside its sanctuary Tuesday night.
