Fire officials in Orange County are trying to figure out how a fire started at an abandoned building.
The blaze sparked at around 6 p.m. Saturday in a house located in an area off Route 17 in Monroe.
The fire also spread to the surrounding woods, creating multiple brush fires.
The hot weather and location of the home made it difficult for the nearly 50 firefighters to get it under control.
Officials say no one was hurt. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
