A newly released film that tells the story of the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital is being screened in Port Chester.
The independent film "Louder Than Words" depicts the lives of John and Brenda Fareri, who started the hospital in 1995 after the loss of their daughter, Maria. Maria Fareri was 13 years old when she died of rabies.
The Maria Fereri Children's Hospital, located in Valhalla, now helps thousands of children and their families.
The movie stars David Duchovy as John and Hope Davis as Brenda. The couple was involved in casting and were around on the movie's set.
"Louder Than Words" will be playing at the AMC Lowe's in Port Chester until next Thursday. It could be released nationally, depending on how well it does in theaters.
