It may still seem mild out, but winter is on its way so experts are offering ways to keep homes toasty warm.
Experts say replacing drafty windows and changing the direction of ceiling fans are just two ways to stay warm this winter.
Mike Graessly, a realtor for Better Homes and Gardens, says replacing windows can be costly. He says to just place plastic covers on the windows if there are drafts.
Graessly says fireplaces can also be a source of drafts. He says to make sure to open the damper to let the smoke out, and don't forget to close it.
In addition, make sure furniture is not blocking any radiators.
Experts say winterizing a home can help save money.
