A former Horace Greeley High School drama teacher is spending four weekends in jail, years after being found guilty of sexually abusing students.
In 2016, Christopher Schraufnagel was sentenced to three years probation after admitting that he sexually abused his students. He is now a registered Level 3 sex offender and also underwent alcohol abuse counseling.
Police say Schraufnagel used his married name to acquire a job as a bartender at an Armonk restaurant, which is against his agreement.
David Engelsher, the attorney representing Schraufnagel's victims, say seven students who were 14 and 15 years old have come forward with testimony. He believes there's probably more.
Schraufnagel has two weekends remaining in his sentence.
