Employees from the Mrs. Green's Supermarket in Mount Kisco are heading back to work after they were let go from their jobs six months ago.

Seven employees from the supermarket were fired in January. The employees claim they were fired for trying unionize, but company officials say they were terminated for "performance reasons." The employees spent the winter picketing outside the store, demanding their jobs back.

The supermarket's new chief human resources officer, Sherry Nolan-Shultz, negotiated a deal to bring the workers back. The move comes days before the company faced a court hearing with the National Labor Relations Board for allegedly firing the workers illegally.

Nolan-Shultz says the company's new CEO wants to start anew and do right by all of his employees. The workers return Monday with back pay and a raise.
