An emergency responder gave one woman the gift of life on Christmas after rescuing her out of a burning building.
The flames sparked around 10 a.m. on the third floor of a Bronx River Road apartment building.
Upon arrival, the Yonkers firefighters saw a girl hanging from a window on the third floor, trapped by heavy smoke.
Lt. Danny Nee says his life-saving efforts came from years of training and following in the footsteps of his fellow firefighters who have helped guide him for more than six years
Nee and the victim were taken in an ambulance to Jacobi Hospital and treated for smoke inhalation and elevated carbon-monoxide levels.
