An emergency field hospital opened in New York City's Central Park in an effort to ease the flow of sick patients coming into city hospitals.
The 14-tent, 68-bed field hospital opened on Wednesday, and will treat COVID-19 patients.
The field hospital will focus on respiratory care and includes 10 ICU beds equipped with ventilators, officials say.
Samaritan’s Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization, partnered with Mount Sinai Health System to set up the field hospital.
