The Board of Education says it took effect on Wednesday.

Elmsford School Superintendent Ronald Gonzalez has resigned after eight months on the job.
The Board of Education says it took effect on Wednesday.
In a statement, Gonzalez said that aligning vision for learning with a full community and citizenry can be a fluid process.
After much consideration, he said he decided to pursue other leadership opportunities in order to further his work on behalf of students.
Gonzalez served has interim Superintendent from July of last year until he was named Superintendent in March.
Jo-Anne Dobbins, the district's director of Special Education and Pupil Personnel Services will serve as interim superintendent until the end of the school year.
Last spring, Elmsford was the only district in Westchester where voters rejected the budget twice.
By law, the district is on an austerity budget.
