The Eastchester Police Department is mourning the loss of former officer Alex Bonci, who served for more than 40 years before retiring in 2020.

Bonci was also a well-known figure in the local sports community. He served as an athletic director and coach in the Eastchester, Tuckahoe, and Edgemont school districts.

Details of Bonci's funeral service are not yet available.
