East Ramapo appoints Dr. Clarence Ellis as next school superintendent

Since 2014, Ellis has served as superintendent of District 17 of the New York City Department of Education, where he supported more than 15,000 students in 32 schools.

The East Ramapo Central School District has appointed its next school superintendent.
The district board voted unanimously for Dr. Clarence Ellis to fill the seat.
Since 2014, Ellis has served as superintendent of District 17 of the New York City Department of Education, where he supported more than 15,000 students in 32 schools.
He'll start in this new role on July 1.
