Early voting kicks off Monday in Connecticut

Most municipalities in Connecticut use a single location for early voting. State officials say early voting makes it more convenient for people and encourages greater participation.

Fourteen days of early voting for this year's general election for municipal offices will begin Monday, state officials say.
Most municipalities in Connecticut use a single location for early voting.
Residents can find their early voting location from the registrar of voters.
State officials say early voting makes it more convenient for people and encourages greater participation.
Early voting hours are as follows:
  • Oct. 20. through Oct. 27: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Oct. 28: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Oct. 29: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Oct. 30: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Oct. 31 through Nov. 2: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
On Election Day, all polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
State officials say they election officials in every community keep a record of every voter who has voted early to prevent them from voting early at any other location, submitting an absentee ballot, or voting on Election Day.
