Dutchess County is launching a new effort to get more eligible kids vaccinated, including against COVID-19, with the school year set to begin shortly.
Starting Monday, kids can roll up their sleeves at the county's Behavioral and Community Health Office in Poughkeepsie's family partnership building to get any of the various childhood immunizations. The site will also offer Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine.
State data shows a little more than 40% of kids between the ages of 12 and 15 in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties are fully vaccinated.
