? Torrential rains on top of Tuesday night?s snow led to flooding on many Westchester County roads Wednesday.
Water on the roads only added to already treacherous driving conditions. The Bronx River Parkway was completely closed due to rising waters that flooded the blacktop.
The Saw Mill River Parkway was closed in the Pleasantville area, and the Hutchinson River Parkway also experienced closures. Although many drivers are used to flooding on the parkways, getting around the county proved increasingly difficult Wednesday.
Mother Nature?s recent wrath had DPW crews clearing storm drains to keep flooding at bay. Flooding was also a big concern in Mamaroneck. Residents are hoping not to get a repeat of last spring?s flooding, which devastated the village.
