The driver of a box truck was killed after colliding with another vehicle on I-287 Tuesday night in Harrison.

Police say the accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of the highway.

They say John P. Riofrio, 48, of New York City, lost control of his truck after colliding with another vehicle, went through a guardrail, overturned, and came to rest in a small stream.

Riofrio was pronounced deceased on the scene. Two passengers in the truck were treated for minor injuries.

The operator of the other vehicle was not injured.
