The teen driver of a Ferrari that crashed into a Bedford horse farm is facing drunken driving charges.
Police say Jake Schaevitz, 19, of Bedford, and his friend 19-year-old Austin Brand, of Pound Ridge, both had to be cut out of the car after they crashed on South Bedford Road around 1 a.m. on Sunday. They say the sports car smashed into a tree, crashed through a wooden fence and flipped several times before coming to a stop in a horse pasture at Sunnyfield Farm.
Both Schaevitz and Brand were taken to Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries. No horses were hurt during the crash.
Schaevitz has been charged with driving while intoxicated.
