U.S. soccer fans, like the ones at Maggie Spillane's Alehouse in Mount Vernon yesterday, were only seconds from going wild as they were cheering on Team USA in the World Cup.
Unfortunately, Portugal scored with only seconds remaining in the contest to tie the game at two goals apiece.
Now Team USA needs a win or draw against Germany on Thursday to advance to the round of 16.
Still, the local fans think they can advance to the next round. "This is the best nation in the world. And you gotta root for it!" says Jaime Gimarco, of Eastchester.
