Dozens rally in Yonkers to make it a sanctuary city
Dozens rallied in Yonkers Monday to make it a sanctuary city.
The rally, in response to President Donald Trump's recent immigration policies, was not only to petition to make Yonkers a sanctuary city, but also to come together in what some are calling a divided America.
"Being quiet isn't going to help anything - we have to rise up,” said Olivia Ramirez, who was among the dozens at the May Day rally on the Yonkers waterfront.
Some of the protesters said their goal wasn’t to criticize the current administration, but instead to make their voices heard and make a difference.
