A Westchester business owner says he has a solution to some of the parking woes drivers face in Dobbs Ferry.
Beginning Valentine's Day, restaurant owner and Dobbs Ferry native Scott Broccoli is offering his customers valet parking as part of a pilot program. It's an alternative to circling the block looking for a space, or risking getting a costly parking ticket.
"The customer will pay $10 to the valet company. If you dine here and your bill gets to $50 bucks, I'm gonna give that right back to you, so essentially you just spend $50 for free parking," says Broccoli.
Vehicles will be valet parked in the commuter lot at 99 Cedar St., which Broccoli says has 100 spaces.
When customers leave the restaurant, their cars will be brought back to them right at the front door.
The pilot program will last for nine months.
Broccoli says he's hoping every business owner will follow his lead and jump on the bandwagon in solving the parking problems that have been a source of so many headaches in the area.
