A parent is now under arrest in Newburgh after allegedly hitting a school security guard with their car on purpose during drop-off Wednesday.
The situation was caught on cellphone video given to News 12.
District officials say the parent was driving the wrong way and refused the guard's directions to go another way.
They say the parent instead struck the guard with their car, and that their student then got out and attacked a second guard trying to help.
"This behavior is not welcomed and will not be tolerated," said NFA Main co-principal Susan Valentino.
Administration say the school guards were taken to the hospital as a precaution and that the parent was taken into police custody.
