A fire left a dozen people homeless in Middletown Monday night.
Fire officials says the blaze erupted at the Park Hill Apartment complex around 7 p.m.
Firefighters say when they got to the site, smoke and flames could be seen shooting through the roof. "It appears that it started maybe outside, and the wind that was going on at the time forced it into two of the apartments. So we have two apartments that are burned. And we have two that are water damaged," says Middletown Fire Chief Don Luis.
The Red Cross will be helping the residents who were displaced.
There is no word yet on a cause.
