A man wanted on numerous warrants managed to elude Rockland County officers Friday afternoon.
Antonio Kelly, 31, is wanted for endangering the welfare of a child and abandonment of a child. He's also wanted for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and forgery. His last known address is in Spring Valley.
After finding out Kelly was in the area, a foot pursuit was launched that included local police, Rockland County deputies, a chopper and K-9 units.
Residents in Stony Point were asked to stay indoors and schools in the area were on lockdown as police cordoned off an area near Colonial Plaza at 146 South Liberty Drive.
The search has since been called off and schools were dismissed at their regular times.
Police believe Kelly may have had help in getting away by his girlfriend.
Authorities say they are confident Kelly will be in custody soon.
