The mother of an Arlington High School student who went to the campus disguised as a student has been charged for trespassing and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
They say 33-year-old Valerie Albelo, from Lagrangeville, instigated a fight last Tuesday between her daughter and another student.
She was seen on surveillance video standing next to them and using vulgar language while the girls fought before first period.
School officials say the incident has prompted the district to strengthen its security protocol.
That includes checking student IDs during morning arrival and wearing IDs at all times during the school day and after-school activities.
