It's the kind of celebration that will put a spring in your step!
Billed as a community parade, the colorful annual procession in Mount Kisco is hosted by the Ancient Order of Hiberians, a nonprofit organization.
Alex Muller of Katona brought his entire family to witness the wonderful showing of Irish pride and the inclusion of different ethnic groups.
"We're here because it's happy moments from different nations. That's what it's all about even in Mount Kisco," he said.
It's a diverse crowd and all are invited to the celebration of Irish heritage and the honoring of the man credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland in the fifth century.
Jill Muller of Katona commented; "St. Patty's Day is a family holiday. It's a time to celebrate family right?
Phil Quaranto summed it all up by saying, "I think it's great, it just shows that spring is on the way!"
The parade, complete with bagpipers, marching bands and local civic organizations also paid homage to America's 250 years of independence.
