The couple who were killed in a three-car crash last weekend in Woodbury were headed to Binghamton when they were fatally struck.
The Bengali Boldest Association told News 12 the victims, Hafiz and Shathe Ahmed had recently purchased a home there.
The couple's daughter, who has autism, was also injured in the accident. The association says the family is now concerned about her immediate and continued care without her parents.
State police have not confirmed the victims' names and say the driver in a third car suffered minor injuries.
They say two suspects who were involved were located but tell News 12 that no one had been arrested as of Friday evening.
A vigil was held Thursday at the Jamaica Muslim Center for the couple who was killed.
