Students at Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary were welcomed back with a musical message to start the school year Thursday.
Principal Darren Corsetti rewrote the lyrics to Benson Boone’s “Mystical Magical,” turning it into a back-to-school anthem filled with school spirit.
“I want you to be a fluent reader and a classroom… leader … dream achievers,” he sang. “School has come back around the corner… I’m a summer mourner … but school’s so mystical magical.”
Corsetti says his daughter, son and wife helped write the lyrics, blending pep talk and performance into a tradition that’s become a student favorite.
