Bronx residents and relatives of a man who was fatally shot by an officer three years ago Sunday gathered to demand justice for Fermin Arzu and others who met the same fate.

Officer Raphael Lora has pleaded not guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the May 2005 fatal shooting of Arzu. Lora allegedly shot Arzu, who was apparently driving drunk, in the heart after Lora says the man hit a parked car and refused to stop.

The Garifuna Coalition USA, Arzu's family and residents met at St. Anthony of Padua Church on East 166th Street to remember the 41-year-old Honduran immigrant.

The group then held a justice walk from the church to the Longwood shooting scene at Hewitt Place and Westchester Avenue. The walk was followed by a community vigil.

Organizers say they want justice for unarmed men such as Arzu and Sean Bell, who was killed in a 50-shot NYPD bullet barrage on his wedding day.
