Some outraged Christians took to social media to blast Starbucks, and their new holiday cup.
Critics say the red cups should include images of both Christmas and Jesus Christ.
One man's Facebook post, which has more than 10 million views, accuses Starbucks of "hating Jesus."
He's also encouraging customers to give their name as "Merry Christmas" to force employees to say the phrase.
A Starbucks spokesman says this year's cup design is, "A more open way to usher in the holidays." He adds that the company is embracing the simplicity and quietness of the season.
