Some drivers who were caught illegally rolling past a stopped school bus with its crossing arm out in Yonkers will face fines.
It is part of Yonkers' Safe Stop School Bus Safety program that launched in October 2023.
Yonkers police released video on Tuesday of the violators who were effectively caught on stop-arm safety cameras since the program's launch.
The first offense will cost drivers $250 and $275 for a second violation within an 18-month timespan.
Violators have to pay $300 for three or more offenses within 18 months.
If a driver is caught by traffic or patrol police, they could face jail time, a higher fine or five points added to their license.
