Vulgar and intimidating words were found spray-painted outside a family's home in Greenburgh Wednesday morning.
A homeowner on Wyndover Road discovered paint in the driveway and on three cars. In addition to the vulgarities, threatening messages such as "sellout" were also painted. The vehicles were towed away as police continue their investigation.
While the homeowner declined to speak on camera, neighbors say they wonder if they'll be next.
"If it could happen to them, it could happen to any of us," says neighbor Joe Grant.
Grant says he saw the police outside when he returned home from work around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. He says someone also tampered with his family car, but it was nothing like this.
"A week ago someone went into my wife's car and they just scrambled through things, they didn't take anything," Grant says.
Anyone with information regarding the vandalism is asked to call the Greenburgh Police Department at 914-989-1725 or 914-989-1700.
