Car fire erupts in Yonkers, sending smoke and flames into the air

Firefighters responded to a car fire Monday near the intersection of Nepperhan and Executive boulevards, sending plumes of smoke into the air.

The fire occurred just down the hill from the local fire station, according to witnesses.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and officials have not yet reported any injuries.
